Monash South Africa offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The institution provides flexible study options, from postgraduate diplomas to full-time degree programs. Academic programs include:
Pre-degree: The Monash South Africa Foundation Programme is a one-year program that provides a pathway to articulate into a degree. There are five study streams to choose from; Law, Social Science, Business and Economics, Information Technology and Health Sciences.
- Undergraduate: Business science, accounting, computer and information sciences, public health, social science.
- Honors courses: An optional additional year of study allows students to specialize in a specific area of their major. Courses in this program include public health, business science, computer and information sciences and social sciences.
- Postgraduate: Master of business administration, master of international business, master of philosophy and master of philosophy in integrated water management. Postgraduate diploma programs are offered in water management, accounting, corporate governance and HIV/AIDS and health.
Monash South Africa provides students a large variety of opportunities to become involved in volunteer initiatives. Community engagement projects focus on educating and helping youth and families from local marginalized communities. The institution also works to foster the spirit of giving back among its alumni by keeping them engaged after graduation.
In addition, Monash South Africa developed a partnership with Oxfam to give students intern opportunities in Oxfam's network of community-based organizations. The campus has a designated volunteer space designed to encourage the spirit of community involvement and social responsibility among students.
